Title: Good Read
Review: This book was definitely a slow burner. It didn’t have the initial non-stop energy I enjoyed in the first book of the series. It didn’t start piquing my interest until chapter 43. It was a good twist to the original style of the first book, and the twists piqued my interest towards the end.However, I’m nervous about the final series. I do plan to finish it, though.

Title: Another fast paced thrill ride!
Review: Another fast paced mind bending read with The Housemaid’s Secret! From the first page to the very end you are going to experience Millies ups and downs with her various employers and her long time love from the first book Enzo. This book has a story twist you never see coming, look alike men who are not related, and a woman who manipulated them both. I don’t want to give it away but the manipulator in the situation is not going to fair well. Definitely worth the time to download and read in what will seem like a very short time when you start reading this one. Easily caught up in the story that keeps you interested through the whole thing. Enjoy it however you want, kindle or print versions worth every page turning, time burning minute!

Title: This is a superb thriller
Review: “The Housemaid’s Secret” by Freida McFadden is a superb book. It is a continuation of her prior thriller “The Housemaid.” Readers who missed the preceding volume will still enjoy this one, even if they haven’t read it. Anything that they need to know is told in this tale.This thriller is about a poor woman with a history of ten years in jail for a murder she did not commit. She did kill a man, but it was self-defense. The man was threatening to kill a woman he had been abusing. The jury at her trial did not believe the truth. As a result, she had difficulty finding a job as an ex-con. She worked as a maid. But on the side, he helped many abused women and got a reputation among those whom she helped.She receives a call from a wealthy man to come work at his penthouse. He told her his wife is very ill and she should not try to speak to her. When she sees blood on the floor, she approaches the woman, who tells her she has been brutalized repeatedly by her husband. She decides to help.However, as in all Freida McFadden thrillers, what appears to be true is not necessarily true; good people may be bad, and bad people may be good. There are always twists and turns in the thriller, with plenty of red herrings. Readers will enjoy this book.

Bless them 🙏I actually enjoyed the first book, even though I barely remembered half of it (oops). I walked in thinking this sequel would serve the same energy… aaand nope. I was wrong. So very wrong 🫠Was it bad? Nah. But it sure as hell wasn’t what I signed up for. My happy expectations? Shattered. 🫥💔Let’s talk about the leads. Millie and Wendy were both—how do I put this gently?—disasters. Millie had potential back in book one, I liked her! But four years later she’s supposed to be the genius of the group… and instead, she’s out here making decisions that made me want to throw the book at a wall. And Wendy?? Don’t even get me started. Every scene with her had me screaming internally. Girl, get it together. 😩That said… Freida McFadden, you sneaky queen 👑 Just when I think I’ve figured everything out, she drops a bomb outta nowhere and leaves me speechless. It’s what she does best—and I lowkey live for it.I was warned this one was the “least favorite” of the trilogy, and yeah, I get it now.
