Title: ThermoMaven Will Lower Your Blood Pressure!
Review: I bought the Thermomaven “P2” from Amazon for $109 US. They are selling the “G2” right now for $129 US. The main difference between them that I can find is that the G2 runs wireless on what is called “Sub 1” giving better ranges. As for the P2 range, it is awesome and more than plenty for me. I suppose if you have a large property or want to jump on your ATV and drive over to the next hollow to show your buddy Clevis your Butt Temperature the Sub G1 feature is handy. Found this definition of it:”Long Range: Lower frequencies, like those used in Sub-1 GHz, have superior signal propagation and lower attenuation compared to higher frequencies. This means that Sub-G signals can travel further and penetrate obstacles like walls and buildings more effectively, enabling longer communication ranges, which can extend to kilometers in some scenarios.”What I know is that without the Sub-1 I took my Base Unit for a stroll and held a signal for a long ways before losing signal, more than enough for my needs. I suppose the Sub-1 technology may have enabled me to get all the way to the Henderson Place but I don’t even like them or their yippy little Foo-Foo dogs. Now that we have the electronic mess out of the way onto the Probes and Performance. In a word, OK maybe two words. GAME CHANGER!I have always found smoking meat to be less than enjoyable as it should be because of second guessing actual temperatures because of unreliable, wired probes. I own a ThermoPro and an Inkbird. I grew to distrust the ThermoPro and don’t even get me going on the insidious, obnoxious mystery alarms on the Inkbird that sent my Blood Pressure into the Stratosphere. The ThermoMaven just works. What a concept. It seems to be highly accurate. It allows you to choose to set your Target Temperatures yourself or for you to let the App set them for you based on the meat you are working with. This trusting the App thing at first seemed a little naughty to me. Like I was violating some primeval guy code. Kinda like sneaking a can of Modela when you know that PBR is the firmly entrenched King Of All Barbeque Beverages.I am an unabashed convert. I have crossed over to the dark side. It’s full up get over my wimpiness and give up control to the Maven. She totally knows what she’s doing. My first cook was so relaxing and satisfying. The App tracks the time remaining to target temperature with precision. This is some pretty darn near critical news to have. No more, “Geez Louise! The corn is turning into mush! YOU TOLD ME THE MEAT WOULD BE DONE HALF AN HOUR AGO!” And that my friends is the power of the Maven. Forget the Bluetooth and the Wireless Range. Forget the pretty colors on the App. Just know this, you know when the meat will be done. The Maven even tells you when to remove the meat and tracks resting time. I mean, come on man!Just buy this thing. You decide on getting the fancy Sub-1 Ghz one or not. Just buy either one and turn your life over to the Maven.

Title: Fantastic Probe – Better than Meater
Review: I was an early adopter of the Meater brand probes and really liked them, but the biggest limitation with the early models was the lack of WiFi – the range was always an issue. After losing my probe, I decided to give this one a try, and I’m so glad I did!Setup was super simple and pairing was effortless. At first glance it looks a lot like the Meater, but the real game-changer is the base station. Not only does it charge the probe, but it also acts as a monitor and repeater, bridging the connection from the probe to the app. That means I can check on my cooks from anywhere, without worrying about range limitations. The app itself is excellent – very intuitive, with lots of predefined temps for popular cuts and cooking styles. Everything just works seamlessly.Overall, this feels like the Meater but upgraded – better connectivity, reliable performance, and at a more affordable price. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

Title: Seems to be accurate, stays connected, estimates done time, probes numbered, charge lasts
Review: At this time, I have 4 different wireless meat thermometer, including Meater Plus, and ThermoMaven, so far, is one of my favorites. So why do I like the ThermoMaven wireless Meat thermometers. I have used these probes primarily for smoking in my smoker, but they also work well in any of my indoor ovens. Comparing the price of this set, I believe the price is comparable for similar sets.1) The probes seems to report the correct meat and ambiance temperatures. The meats I have cooked so far comes out to the doneness that I prefer. I also found out that ambient temperature is much lower than reported on one of my smokers.2) Although the app supplies more information about the cook, the base unit supplies much of the same information, such as predicted done time, current temperature of the meat, and ambient temperature, by pressing the up/down buttons.3) The base unit and app don’t lose connection when using the microwave as the Meater probes do.4) The base unit information is easy to read and also lets you know if the probes are losing power.5) WIFI connection on the phone allows monitoring of the cook from anywhere in the house and outside within range of your router.6) Setup to both Bluetooth and WIFI was very easy.7) Settings for a cook can be easily modified without having to start the cook over.8) A done time in hours and minutes is calculate to give you an approximate done time for the meat you are cooking.9) The base unit and probes hold a charge when not in use, but I recommend making sure all are fully charged before using them. The only downside I have found so far is that the base unit does not indicate when it is fully charged. I would recommend this wireless meat thermometer it you cook multiple items at one time that require monitoring of temperatures as I do. I have not had this set for a very long time, so I can’t attest to its life over time. I will update this review if my opinion changes.UPDATE 10/14/25:This time of year, fall, I generally do a lot of smoking of meats to have smoked beef, pork, and chicken available for the winter. I have been using this set of wireless meat thermometers a lot lately, and everything has been cooked to perfection. For larger cuts of meat, I do make sure the base and thermometers are fully charged. Since the base doesn’t indicate when it is fully charged, I just plug it into a USB port and leave it overnight. So far, this has been working and the probes don’t run out of power even for long cooks of over 4 hours. I have been very happy with the results of my cooks when using this set of thermometer and appreciate that 4 of the probes can be monitored at one time in one app.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Review: This is a fantastic unit that had multiple temperature zones in the probes, and is WAY cheaper than the alternatives. The only downside is programing on the unit. In the app is easy, on the unit itself, it’s not very user friendly. The reason I don’t knock it down a star is that it works excellently. I have the GE Profile Indoor Smoker, and the thermometers work great. So I don’t think you have to worry about metal interference. The software is excellent for graphing your progress.Make sure, if you use the WiFi function, that you have your 2.4GHZ set up on your router. Most smart devices only use the 2.4GHz range, so you should set it up anyways.Pro tip, use the manual setting and not the smart setting. The smart setting will keep blasting notifications on your phone.

Review: Must have product for any bbq enthusiast! I have used wired version in the past, but always found them cumbersome.I bought these to go with my rotisserie, and they work great! No setup required, just stick them in the meet and let them do their job. iPhone app works well, but quite often I don’t even bother and use the base station to monitor my cooks. At this price they are hard to beat.I used them with the Kamado Joe’s JoeTisserie accessory.

Review: Easy setup. I cooked four t-bones for the first time with these probes last weekend, each with different styles of cooking: medium rare, 2 medium, well cooked. They were all perfectly cooked, thanks to the precision of the probes and the ease of use of the app. Only little comment: while the font of the characters on the unit are well lit, they look ‘outdated’ compared to other brands….

Review: Only used a few times, but it does appear to be as accurate as advertised. However, I do find the base/controller and the phone app somewhat clunky and not entirely intuitive. The instructions included are not very helpful, but with some trial and error I have been able to use it effectively.

Review: I have been very impressed with this unit, i’ve been using the meter plus for the past 4 years, but finally my frustrations with it caused me to look for an alternative. So after reading a bunch of reviews, I decided to give this unit a try. And I am 100% satisfied with this unit, first of all it has a base all to itself with 2 probes that do not lose connection With the unit every 5 minutes like the meter plus did. That’s the biggest difference. It has all the features you want and need in a wireless probe. For the price, this unit is as good as it gets.
